Dr. Krantz and Clyde mounted at the Smithsonian. Still my favourite thing ever.
Before Krantz died, he said to Smithsonian anthropologist David Hunt, “I’ve been a teacher all my life and I think I might as well be a teacher after I’m dead, so why don’t I just give you my body.” When Hunt agreed, Krantz added, “But there’s one catch: You have to keep my dogs with me.”
This is the happiest skeleton I’ve ever seen
And here’s the “before” to the Smithsonian’s “after”…
This will never cease to warm my heart.
This is perfect.
I cant believe justin bieber poisoned our water supply, burned our crops, and delivered a plague unto our houses
No, but are we gonna wait around until he does!?
Spotted Quail-thrush (Cinclosoma punctatum)
…a species of quail-thrush (Cinclosoma spp.) that is endemic to eastern and south-eastern Australia. Spotted quail-thrushes are neither quails nor thrushes and are a member of the family Cinclosomatidae, a family of passerine birds which includes the jewel-babblers and whipbirds. Spotted quail-thrushes are very shy and secretive birds, making them fairly difficult to spot in the wild. They are usually seen either by themselves or in small family groups.A majority of their lives is spent on the forest floor foraging though the leaf litter for food.
